Hi, I’m Kelly, an ELT professional with 20+ years of experience, spanning the military, corporate, and educational sectors.

I began my career in the military, where I developed leadership and organizational skills, which later served me well in Human Resources and Management roles. In these fields, I focused on employee engagement, career planning, and strategic development, working closely with management teams to drive organizational success. My passion for helping people grow naturally led me to education when I moved to Brazil. Transitioning from management and HR to teaching was a natural fit, as I could bring my focus on individual development into the classroom—a skill that became even more invaluable when I started training teachers after more than a decade of teaching experience.

These days, I’m fully focused on teacher development and have stepped away from the administrative side of things to connect directly with students and teachers, where education is truly impactful. As an International CELTA trainer and consultant, I work closely with educators to help them develop their skills and grow in their careers. My goal is always to support teachers in finding and embracing their individuality in the classroom while also fostering a sense of connection with their students—and I like to add my own flare to everything I do! I’m passionate about questioning, exploring new ideas, and encouraging teachers to do the same.

When I’m not working with teachers, I’m an avid podcaster and content creator, offering insights and resources through my podcast and site. I’m committed to continuous professional development and am always looking to stay on top of the latest trends in education through conferences, workshops, and just a little bit of curiosity.
